Describe the culture at Alpha using 3 words
“Knowledgeable, encouraging, intense (but in a good way!)"
What were some of the projects you were involved with?
“I worked on DC Power Line Communications projects to transmit data and power over the same cable. That included some circuit design, building prototypes and on the firmware side programming the micro controllers to send and receive the signal.”
What do you think was the key take away from your internship?
“Gaining Experience in a professional industrial environment and professionalism. I had to do presentations in a professional environment finally, I had to demo my project to the engineering team. I learned a lot from my peers, especially my leading supervisors. I also participated in the Alpha Madness Basketball competition with “The Co-ops.””
What is some advice you would give to students looking for a co-op opportunity?
“Do side projects. In the interview don’t panic if you don’t know something, show that you’re willing to learn. At work, don’t be afraid to ask questions!”
Outside of the office, what can you be found doing?
“Spending time with family, playing basketball and hanging out with friends.”
